This introductory course explores the world and history of the reflective luminaire manufacturer light fixture, better known as an RLM. Learn about the key individuals who influenced this style, the manufacturing techniques commonly used to create these fixtures and different finishing methods. This course breaks down the complete anatomy of the RLM lighting fixture and highlights relevant uses in real-world applications.

Cole Paulson is a UCF graduate and is the Regional Sales Manager for Barn Light electric in Titusville Florida. He joined Barn Light in 2017 in the manufacturing facility, hand-crafting light fixtures by day and studying original RLM lighting by night. He worked through each department from the machine shop to the shipping area with a concentrated focus on learning the artisan porcelain enameling process of light fixtures. Eventually graduating into a sales position years later and utilizing his UCF degree. Cole is proud to educate designers, architects and lighting professionals with a desire to learn on the RLM style of lighting.
